About Us

Mission Statement

The Mid-Michigan Leadership Academy is student-centered focusing on the academic success of all students through the transfer of knowledge from the traditional classroom environment to real world applications.

Mid-Michigan Leadership Academy is a Title 1 school charter in 1995 by Central Michigan University. In 2002, we were awarded a Golden Apple Award for excellence in education. In 2003 we were awarded a Comprehensive School Reform Grant (CSR) to become a MicroSociety School. Our MicroSociety Program is designed to attract a diverse population to the school as well as to enhance the learning needs of our students. We are located in Lansing, Michigan. The tree-lined campus, adjacent to Comstock park and just down the street from Old Town, was once home to the Michigan School for the Blind. For directions click here.
